September 14 - May 7; new season 50's are available pre-booked (reserved for you for a future date)
March 29 - May ; orders will be billed an additional $0.07/plug Cold Storage Fee, excluding Late/At Once orders
May 10 - September 10; Summer orders are Not Pre-booked/Not Reserved, thus are subject to our week by week availability and will not be acknowledged until the week prior to shipping. These are priced using the 'Late Season' pricing grid with no Cold Storage Fee

Policies:

VERNALIZATION (Cold Treatment): Swift's 50-plugs are shipped actively growing in September-October and have not been vernalized. Most plugs shipped from January through March have been fully vernalized for predictable flowering and growth. *Many items are held in cold storage & shipped dormant through May.*

PLUG DIMENSIONS: 2" wide x 2 1/4" deep - 50 per flat. Most varieties will flower the 1st year! Recommened use for 4" to 1-gallon pots.

PRICING: (Subject to change) Volume prices are based on total quantity of 50-plugs purchased per each order & ship date. Early Shipment Discounted prices do not include labels, boxes, shipping charges, or royalty/patent charges. Special yearly volume prices are valid for orders shipping September 14, 2020 through September 10, 2021 (Week 38 through Week 37) & must be requested annually. All patent charges include a 1-3¢ per plug administration fee, as required by our Brokers.

MINIMUM ORDER: Minimum order is 4 trays of 50-plugs. 50 Plug perennials may be combined with 275 Plug orders, with a minimum order of either tray size. However, the 275 and 50 Plug orders will process and ship separately. If minimum orders are met for both 275's & 50's, separate orders & PO's are recommended and preferred. The 50's ship via FedEx Ground & 275 seedlings via FedEx 2 Day Air, increasing the freight costs.

A below minimum fee of $40.00 will be added to any order of 2-3 trays. Single tray (1) orders will not be processed.

LABELS: Swift custom labels are John Henry Junior Portrait locking tags. Labels will be shipped with each order unless otherwise specified (see page 1 of the order form) & are shipped at a 1:0 or 1:1 ratio only, no exceptions. If customer requires labels on only part of their order, the order will have to be split into two separate PO's; separate volume pricing will apply. Returns are accepted with prior notification & a 25% restocking fee applies. Credit is only given on full, unbroken packs of labels upon their return to Swift's.

SHIPPING: FedEx Ground is the recommended shipping method for large plug (50's) perennials. FedEx Freight or Holland Freight can be used on large orders over 45 flats to the Eastern United States, if cost effective. Truck freight is usually faster but slightly more expensive. Smaller East Coast orders (less than 45 flats) will be shipped FedEx Ground at customer risk. Ground costs are usually about 8¢-12¢ per large plug. Swift's is not liable for the chosen shipping method. Swift Grower Truck is used for many IA, IL, IN, MI, MN, MO, & WI orders in February and March if over 100 trays. Grower Truck delivery is not guaranteed. There has to be enough total orders in the area to fill a truck.

PACKING: Orders are packed 3 to 5 large plug trays per case (22" x 12" x 16" @ ~ 26 lbs., depending on wetness). Trays per case vary due to plant height at time of shipping and full cases are not guaranteed. There is no charge for packing or cold weather packing. There is a Cardboard Charge of $7 per box.

CANCELLATIONS: No cancellations are permitted on 50 plug material after February 1. No cancellations are permitted on 10 trays or more of individual 50 plug items after they have been held and acknowledged for three months or longer. If cancellations are made after February 1, 2021, the broker is responsible for reselling the items by March 26, 2021. Resold items from cancelled orders will be priced according to the order volume they are shipping on. Unsold items from cancelled orders will be billed to the broker using their the late season volume prices based on quantities left to sell.

ORDER CHANGES: We do our best to accommodate our customers' needs and allow changes & new orders up until order processing begins, usually 3-5 days prior to shipping. However, during our peak times (Jan-April), changes to orders will not be permitted once order processing has begun, up to 12 days prior to order ship date.

CLAIMS: Certain varieties require special conditions in order to grow and perform properly. Varieties requiring long days and warm nights are marked on the order form with a 'light bulb'. We also provide a 'Growing Recommendations' sheet with every order shipped that specifies the varieties and the necessary growing conditions for those varieties. If these instructions are not followed, Swift's cannot be liable for any losses and/or claims. Swift's will not be responsible for, nor honor any claims for shortages or damages unless notified within 2 days of receipt of shipment. Photos must be provided for each claim. Credit will not be considered if material is discarded without prior approval from Swift. Any litigation on past due balances will be filed in Marshall County, IA, USA. Swift is only liable for purchase price of plant material.
